How We Make Our Panels
In November 2007 Dr. Richard Komp, president of the Maine Solar Energy Association, traveled to Mysore, India. He taught ten Dravidian tribal people to build solar panels, using th method he and his colleagues have developed for over thirty years. The slideshow below gives a step-by-step rendering of the process.
This slideshow, and the "do-yourself-solar" method, was developed by the Maine Green Energy Project, John Burke, and Dr. Richard Komp, president of the Maine Solar Energy Association, in collaboration with the nonprofit groups Skyheat and SEADS of Truth.
